Good to see the Great British Sewing Bee back on our screens.\u00a0 Did you watch the first episode last night?\u00a0 Fantastic to see all the male candidates this year \u2013 I was very impressed with Neil.\u00a0 His dress with the cut-outs was amazing!\u00a0 Can\u2019t wait to see what they all get up to next week!<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to pay a lot for fabrics these days, so if you\u2019re a beginner and you just want to experiment try some of the less expensive fabric shops such as \u2018The Nylon Shop\u2019 in Kingswood, Bristol.\u00a0 They have some beautiful fabrics at very reasonable prices, including some remnant boxes to rummage through, and get yourself a bargain.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re lucky enough to live in a place that has a market, have a look at their fabric stalls. You\u2019ll be surprised at what you can find!\u00a0 I recently visited my mother-land, Leicester.\u00a0 They have a fantastic market there, so I always have to go and see what lovely fabrics I can find when I\u2019m up there.\u00a0\u00a0 Haberdashery too \u2013 and much cheaper than the shops!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s always the re-cycling route to go down as well, by using your old clothes and turning them into something fab!\u00a0 But we\u2019ll re-visit that another time\u2026..<\/p>\n
